Unless your employer has been given an exemption under Section 4(4) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001, it is a criminal offence to work as a Door Supervisor in England and Wales without an SIA licence. An exemption is applicable only where the company you work for has been granted Approved Contractor status by the SIA and the other conditions of Section 4(4) have also been met. Every condition must be met for this section to be applied.
If you do work without a licence you will be committing a criminal offence, punishable on conviction by a fine of up to £5,000, 6 months imprisonment or even both.
SIA Courses
Our training courses are designed not only to train you to the standards set out by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) but to give you the knowledge you will require to work at any venue, not all persons attending our training courses are new to the security industry, we fully understand this. However with the new laws and regulations that have been set out by local authorities and government. Such to say, the way of the (OLD SCHOOL DOORMAN) is simply a thing of the past and the way in which any security personnel must conduct them selves is and has to be nothing but 100% professional. This is something that Abal takes very seriously and these are the standards in which our trained and very competent tutors will teach you.
Training is delivered in two parts as follows:
